Designed as a retro-themed Tamil cinema restaurant in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the project reimagines the nostalgia of classic South Indian cinema through a vibrant and immersive dining experience.
Drawing from iconic visual motifs, vintage theatre traditions and Tamil film culture, the design celebrates the enduring legacy of cinema while evoking a strong sense of memory, identity and place. Through carefully curated architectural elements, interior design, lighting and materiality, the space creates a theatrical environment that immerses visitors in the golden era of Tamil cinema while offering a distinctive hospitality experience.
Although the project remained an unbuilt concept, it explores the intersection of culture, nostalgia, architecture and entertainment, demonstrating how storytelling and spatial design can shape memorable public experiences.
